Together , We Return to Balance.

Our bodies carry deep wisdom—they know how to heal when given the right space and support. At Still Within, we incorporate movement, breathwork, sound healing, Reiki, meditation and restorative practices to activate your body’s natural ability to restore balance. Each approach is tailored to nurture and guide you back to a state of harmony and well-being.

Reiki

Reiki is a gentle yet powerful energy healing modality that originated in Japan in the 20th century. By clearing blockages and restoring energetic balance, Reiki can improve sleep, relieve anxiety, boost immunity, and bring a deep sense of well-being.

What It Is & How It Works

We are all beings of energy. The energy that flows within us is the same universal energy that moves through ALL OF LIFE. When something within us is amiss-physically, emotionally or spiritually-the natural flow of energy becomes disrupted. Reiki is an ancient Japanese modality that works by channeling universal energy through the practitioner’s hands to clear blockages and disruptions and guide the system back into harmony.

Reiki can help to relieve stress and anxiety, alleviate physical pain and ailments, clear emotional blocks, boost the immune system and promote sleep.

Whart to Expect in A Reiki Session

We’ll begin by reviewing your intake form and setting a clear intention for the session. You’ll then lie down fully clothed on a massage table or sit back in a chair if that feels more comfortable. The session starts with a short, guided relaxation to help you settle in. From there, your only job is to receive. Reiki is a safe, gentle practice that involves a series of hand positions on or just above the body. You might notice warmth, tingling, or a sense of coolness, but more likely you will simply relax deeply or even drift off to sleep. This restful state supports your body’s natural healing processes.

How Many Sessions

Reiki is an intelligent energy, and your body knows exactly how much healing or release it’s ready for in each session. There’s no one-size-fits-all formula. For chronic or long-standing conditions, it’s generally recommended to begin with three sessions to allow the energy work to build and integrate. Regular sessions are especially important when addressing multiple concerns or deeper emotional and energetic imbalances, as true healing often requires a longer-term commitment. That said, minor issues like physical tension or mild discomfort may show improvement more quickly, sometimes even after just one session.

In Person or Distance

There is something special about connecting in-person. But distance really isn’t a limitation-Reiki works with energy, which doesn’t rely on physical presence. Through intention and connection, the healing flows to you wherever you are. Distance healing sessions are just as calming and effective as in-person ones. All you really need for a distance session is a quiet, comfortable space and your presence!

Sound Healing

Think of sound healing as a deep energetic massage where different frequencies are used to stimulate, clear and balance energies in the body.

What It Is & How It Works

For thousands of years, civilizations all over the world have understood the immense power of sound for healing and spiritual growth. Chanting, drumming, singing and gonging are all ancient practices that harnessed vibrational energy to restore and bring transformation.

The idea behind sound healing is rooted in the concept that everything in the universe, including our bodies, is made up of energy vibrating at specific frequencies. Each cell, tissue, and organ in the body resonates at its own natural frequency. When these frequencies are out of alignment, it can lead to physical or emotional discomfort.

Sound Bath vs. Sound Healing

A sound bath is an immersive experience where you’re surrounded by soothing sounds and resonant vibrations, often for relaxation and stress relief. It may be experienced individually or in a group.

Sound healing is more targeted and intuitive, using specific instruments and techniques to support individual energetic, emotional, or physical healing. Some people feel lighter, calmer, or more energized right after a session. For others, the effects may unfold slowly over a few days.

What to Expect in A Sound Healing Session

We’ll begin by reviewing your intake form and setting a clear intention for the session. You’ll then lie down fully clothed on a massage table or sit back in a chair if that feels more comfortable. The session starts with a short, guided relaxation to help you settle in. From there, your only job is to receive.

The practitioner uses a variety of instruments including singing bowls, tuning forks, drums, gongs and chimes to create a soundscape to support the goals of the session. Most instruments are played around your body to create an immersive experience, but some may be gently placed on the body to allow the vibrations to travel more directly through the tissues. Depending on the session, you may also be invited to wear headphones for part of the experience, especially if recorded tones or guided vocal work are involved.

For sound baths and sound healing sessions, it is best to wear cotton, breathable clothing, take off all jewelry and avoid heavy meals right before the session.

How Many Sessions

This depends on your intention and what we’re working through. For deeper or chronic concerns, regular sessions over time are recommended. Minor issues may shift after just one or two sessions.
