Hi, I’m Aparna and I am thrilled that you’re here.
What began as a curious exploration over two decades ago has led me to become a certified yoga teacher and founder of a yoga school, an avid reader, andmost importantly, a lifelong student of the practice. I feel deeply grateful to have learned from some incredible teachers, both in India and abroad. My classes are rooted in the timeless principles of yoga, from the movements we explore on the mat to the lessons we bring with us off the mat into everyday life.
As my own journey unfolded, I became drawn to Reiki, sound healing and other energy modalities, seeking to embrace the full depth of human experience. The benefits of these practices have been life-changing for me, and I stand as a testamentto their power. I share a lot more about my personal stories on my Substack.I feel deeply called to share these practices with others by creating spaces where we reconnect with our body, mind and spirit.
While yoga is a big part of my life, I am also a Speech Pathologist and a Project Manager and have worked in the healthcare industry for over 20 years. I currently work full time on the strategy team at one of the provincial health organizations in Vancouver. I am naturally curious about using yoga and energy healing in supporting physical recovery, improving quality of life, building effective teams, bringing mindfulness into the workplace… the possibilities are endless!
A good fit between a teacher’s style and philosophy and the client’s goal is key to a successful partnership. I look forward to hearing your story, understanding what inspires you and supporting your path, wherever it may lead.

Hi there-I’m Anand. I completed my 200-hour teacher training in 2018 and joined Aparna in teaching beginner level group and private classes. I particularly enjoy teaching Pranayama (breathwork) and chanting. My personal vision is to grow as a practitioner and as a teacher, while also supporting the business needs of Still Within. On my days off, you will typically find me hiking, rock climbing or kayaking. Yoga for me has been a deeply grounding and healing experience. With a high-pressure job as realtor, I turn to yoga practices to find balance and to manage stress. I hope I can inspire you to start and keep up a regular practice of yoga.
